What is CapTick?

CapTick is a smart, minimalist camera designed to keep your digital life organized. Unlike the standard camera, CapTick lets you sort photos into albums before you shoot, set auto-expiry for temporary captures, and keep your main gallery free from clutter.

How is this different from the default iOS Camera?

The default camera dumps everything into one giant "Recents" folder. CapTick gives you a "Momentum" workflow:

• Albums First - Sort photos as you take them.
• Auto-Cleanup - Set timers for photos you only need for a moment (like parking spots or receipts).
• Smart Timer - Take hands-free bursts and pick only the best shot.
• Separate Storage - Choose to keep your CapTick captures inside the app or export them to your iOS Library.

Where are my photos stored?

Your privacy is our priority. CapTick is 100% local. Your photos and videos are stored only on your device. We do not use cloud servers, we don't track your content, and we never have access to your camera roll unless you choose to export a photo.

What is an "Expiring Snap"?

It's a photo or video with a built-in "self-destruct" timer. It's perfect for information you only need temporarily—like a Wi-Fi password, a shopping list, or a temporary work document. Once the timer runs out, CapTick deletes it automatically to save you storage space.

Can I recover a photo once the timer expires?

No. To ensure your gallery stays clean and your storage remains optimized, once a snap is deleted, it is permanently removed from your device. If you want to keep a photo forever, simply don't set an expiry timer or move it to a permanent album.

Does CapTick support video?

Yes! You can record quick videos, switch between front and back cameras while recording, and even set videos to expire just like photos.

Is there a cost to use CapTick?
